No. Doctor Tenenbaum was here, but only for a short while.

[Leia notices the hesitation, but doesn't press it. She would like information, yes, but she's not about to make the girl uncomfortable. She's done enough with her own family on that front.]

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that having others that I know here has made it less...stressful for myself.

[She looks down at the list of questions she has, not rightly sure which will be too impertinent to ask of a girl who she hardly knows.]

I'm curious as to your powers. They are close to some that I've seen used by my brother.

Mm. I've always managed to survive on my own.

[She shakes her head.]

I'm afraid I don't really know anything about your brother's powers.

Yes, but surviving and living are two different things, I've found.

[She survived Vader, after all, but now Leia is learning to live with the knowledge of Anakin Skywalker. They are things that aren't even on the same spectrum of possibilites.]

Your...telekinesis—I think that's the right word—is very similar to a Jedi's ability to manipulate objects with the Force. I'm still learning how it works, so I'm a bad person to try and explain it.

...Can you tell me about this force thing?

No, you're right. Life has a way of making your road very clear in some instances. But here... [Leia laughs a little bit, low and unamused.] What happens here, for the most part, seems to be of our own making. Whether that is for good or ill is up to us.

As for the Force, I can only tell you what my father told me. The Force is everything. Everything alive is a part of it—the land, the plants, the animals, and us as well. It cannot be corrupted. It is merely borrowed for a short time until we return to it.

[Eleanor was quiet as she thought through this force idea. It sounded almost like a higher power, something the teen had given up on long ago. But it didn't sound anything like what she did. Still...]

So people...manipulate this force? Can anyone do it?
