So we've moved on to accidental videos now! Great.

Okay. I don't actually know what's happening to me. I haven't been to see the docs yet.

But I'm communicating now without a phone. I'm just- connected. It's not like the telepathy, but it sort of is. I'm seeing screen pop up in my field of vision, and I think about the words to type them up.

I'm not 100% sure, but what I think it is?

Something implanted in the brain, it might be related to the micro-machines I remembered, tiny machines that stick around in the bloodstream to do certain functions.

Maybe one of those functions is net connectivity.

They're a way to connect to the net. I'm still not entirely sure, but a lot of the things I'm seeing have people with- augmentations, for lack of a better word. Prosthetics. Metal limbs or armor covering over their bodies.

And I remembered something like this, nanites that are implanted in a person.

That must be really unnerving.

Just between you, me, and the wall? Yeah. It is. I'm trying not to let on. But the ramifications are pretty bad.

That in this world that Retrospec is showing me, mechanical adaptations like this are common.

That this might not be where this all stops. This is just the beginning of how I change.

You joke, but there are definitely a lot of concepts that I keep remembering that have to do with people being interconnected.

Kind of similar to here, to be honest. The fight to keep your own individuality in the face of a world where everyone exists on a social level. Where the self that is seen by others might be considered more 'true' than what you know in your own mind, since you can't prove it exists.

The stand-alone complex.

But I still don't have the whole picture. Whatever Retrospec wants me to get out of this world, I'm only seeing little pieces of it. Bits of technology, bits of philosophy, and I'm trying to see how it all fits together.
