I suggested we destroy the Retrospec building in an attempt to force them to treat us like equals.

None of that matters
We can barely prove these people exist!

You misunderstand.
If we can't prove their existence, if they have no permits to have the building there.
Then there are no legal obstacles in the way of simply destroying the building.
Tearing it down and building something actually useful in its place.

What's to stop them from just undoing what you do?
